The all-new Nissan X-Trail e-POWER has been named as Ireland’s best large crossover and multi-purpose vehicle, after being rigorously road tested by 35 of Ireland’s most experienced motoring journalists.

The award for Irish Large SUV/MPV of the Year 2024 in association with Continental Tyres’ was presented at the Irish Car of the Year 2024 Awards, which were hosted by the Members of the Motoring Media Association of Ireland (MMAI). The prestigious awards are voted on by members of the MMAI who individually assess each new car model that is launched in Ireland each year.

The awards ceremony was attended by Ireland’s leading car brands, importers and distributors. “The award recognises how the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER has raised the bar in the crossover segment, why it continues to be one of the world’s most popular family adventure vehicles and how e-POWER makes it possible to enjoy all of the benefits of EV driving without ever having to plug in the car to recharge it,” said Seamus Morgan, Managing Director of Nissan Ireland.

The unique element of e-POWER is that the petrol engine is solely used to charge the battery that powers an electric motor to drive the wheels. The all-new Nissan X-Trail e-POWER is also available with Nissan e-4ORCE all-wheel drive technology which ensures an even more controlled and stable drive. It draws on the well-established DNA that has run through previous generations of X-Trail: muscular design, flexible utility and advanced all-wheel drive capabilities. It is available in both five and seven-seater configuration.

It has also been built to make life easier for parents with babies and toddlers. The rear passenger doors are integrated with sun blinds to offer protection on sunny days and open to nearly 90 degrees to make the second-row seats more accessible. A powered hands-free tailgate makes accessing the spacious boot effortless.

The car is packed with technology and innovative safety features. They have been specially designed to meet the needs of tech-savvy customers and to be a partner in an increasingly connected world, offering seamless, personal assistance and responses, as well as in-car WiFi for up to seven devices.

e-PEDAL allows drivers to launch, accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator. The new X-Trail e-POWER is also equipped with the ProPILOT with Navi-link system which is able to accelerate and brake the vehicle within a single lane on a motorway.
