Renault Scenic E-Tech electric voted "Car of the Year 2024"

The most prestigious of awards for Scénic E-Tech electric, which won the "Car of the Year 2024" prize awarded by the COTY jury of 59 car journalists from 22 countries at the Geneva Motor Show! By combining electric modernity, useful technologies and a more sustainable design, it has remained true to its heritage as an emblematic vehicle that changes codes, while embodying the Renaulution plan and the Renault Group's ambition to become a next-generation automotive company at the service of a fairer transition. Today, it is the benchmark electric family car on the European market.

The election for Car of the Year 2024, which took place on 26th February at the Geneva International Motor Show, was won by Scénic E-Tech electric! Renault's new electric family car won with 329 points ahead of six other finalists, all of whom were strong contenders: the BMW 5 Series, the Toyota CH-R, the BYD Seal, the Kia EV9, the Volvo EX30 and the Peugeot 3008/E-30089.

Scénic E-Tech electric becomes seventh vehicle to win the prestigious title of Car of the Year for the Renault Brand. It follows in the footsteps of Renault 16 (1966), Renault 9 (1982), Clio I (1991), Scénic I (1997), Mégane (2003) and Clio III (2006). In 2022, Mégane E-Tech electric came second on the podium. With this latest accolade, Scénic has won the prestigious title for the second time - just as Clio did in 1991 and 2006.

This fifth generation of Scénic is heading in the direction of more sustainable, safer and more inclusive mobility. A 100% electric vehicle developed on Ampere's AmpR Medium (formerly CMF-EV) platform, Scénic is assembled at the ElectriCity plant in Douai, and benefits from more responsible production, located as close as possible to the countries where it is sold.

Zero emissions in use, agile, light (1890 kg) and compact (4.47 m long), Scénic is at ease in town. For long journeys, it offers up to 625 km of range (WLTP), comfort, roominess and driving pleasure enhanced by useful technologies.

Record range, generous interior space and a more sustainable design - all these qualities of Scénic E-Tech electric have now been rewarded with the title of Car of the Year 2024.
