DESIGN
Sophisticated and experimental, the Tucson's design is revolutionary. Taking modern aesthetics to the next level, it chiselled surfaces and dynamic lines put it at the cutting-edge of SUV design. Featuring a bigger and wider body, its muscular stance combines sharp angles and dynamic proportions with rich surfaces - creating a progressive look without compromising on Tucson's rugged SUV heritage.
The parametric grille's dark chrome geometric design pattern is instantly transformed when you start driving. Thanks to state-of-the-art half mirror lighting technology, the outer sections of the grille transform into brilliant jewel-like shapes wiith LED Daytime Running Lights switch on, creating a unique high-tech lighting signature. When stopped, they blend in with the grille again.
Tucson’s sporty look is accentuated by a chrome accent line with an edged parabolic shape, starting on the side mirrors and continuing all the way to the tailgate.
The wide LED tail lamps with parametric hidden light details continue the dynamic design in the rear.
Optional 19" wheels optimise Tucson’s stunning proportions, further emphasising its spectacular presence.

The high-tech design elements in the rear are crowned by a smooth glass Hyundai logo, which looks three-dimensional but actually doesn’t protrude from the surface, in a departure from traditional car emblems.
Tucson is the first Hyundai model to be equipped hidden rear wipers, which disappear under the spoiler when not in use.
Getting into the Tucson's sophisticated and spacious interior, or interspace, is like entering a neatly organised room where everyday concerns disappear. Here, space, technology and information intersect harmoniously.
Set the lights anyway you want. Ambient mood lighting offers 64 configurable colours and 10 levels of brightness to fit every mood. Light sources are at the bottom of the centre fascia, in the wireless charging pad and door storage pocket.

The Shift-by-wire controls​ are connected with ergonomically-positioned arm rest for intuitive use and really enhance the clean look of the interior.
More spacious then ever before, the Tucson provides occupants with comfort and roominess usually reserved for models in segment above. Rear passengers enjoy additional legroom.
Boot space has been increased and depending on the chosen trim and powertrain: you’ll enjoy up to 620 litres overall for luggage with the seats up and up to 1,799 litres with the seats folded.
Offering better grip and featuring new switchgear design for improved convenience, the new steering wheel design also projects a stylish flair in the cockpit.

Maximise your individual comfort. For the first time in a Hyundai vehicle, the Tucson’s hidden type Multi-Air Mode technology consists of a combination of direct and indirect air vents for air conditioning and heating to create a more pleasant indoor environment with more gentle air flow.
For improved convenience and versatility, the rear seats can now be folded in a 40:20:40 ratio. What’s more, remote folding levers on the side walls of the boot let you fold the seats from a distance.

Enjoy easy loading. The tailgate opens automatically when the proximity of the smart key is detected for 3 seconds – which is especially practical when you have both hands full coming out of the shops. What’s more, you can set the lift height to different settings according to your preference.

Cool in summer. Warm in winter. The driver and front seat passenger will love the optional heated and ventilated seats. And there are also heated rear seats available for the back seat passengers.

All Tucson models can tow an unbraked trailer with a load of up to 750kg (trailer and load combined). If the trailer has a hydraulic brake system built into the trailer, the load combination raises to 1,950kg on the 2WD Diesel model, 1,350kg on PHEV models and 1,650 kg on HEV models (trailer and load combined).
Connectivity
Naturally, the Tucson has also been upgraded with all the latest tech like smartphone mirroring, and cutting-edge connectivity features like Bluelink Connected Car Services, which lets you control your car from your smartphone - or with your voice. A free five-year subscription to Hyundai's LIVE Services is included with the 10.25" big screen navigation system. ​
The new 10.25" touchscreen flows seamlessly into the full touchscreen console. All navigation, infotainment, air-conditioning controls are touch.

The open-style digital cluster enhances the cockpit’s high-tech flair. The cluster housing has been removed to enhance the feeling of openness inside.

Enjoy high-speed wireless charging for your smartphone. The power has been increased from 5W to 15W for even faster charging. The unit features an integrated cooling function to prevent overheating.

The premium sound system delivers stellar performance with eight high-performance speakers and a subwoofer optimally tuned to deliver startling realism.
Stay charged up. Tucson is available with front and rear USB ports to ensure that everyone on board can charge their devices when on the road.
Activate and control features like climate settings, infotainment controls and tailgate open as well as steering wheel heating via voice command.
Bluelink® Connected Car Services bring seamless connectivity directly into Tucson with online voice recognition and a wide range of features to make your drive more convenient and enjoyable. On top of the many clever features you can control with the Bluelink app, a free five-year subscription to Hyundai’s LIVE Services is also included with the navigation system.

Forgot to lock your car? Don’t worry, Tucson will let you know by sending a push notification to your phone. Then, using your PIN, you can lock or unlock your vehicle at the press of a button.
Performance
Developed to reduce emissions without compromising on being fun to drive, the Tucson offers the widest range of electrified powertrains in the compact SUV segment. You can choose between petrol and diesel options.
Electrifying efficiency. The hybrid is powered by the new 1.6-litre Smartstream petrol engine and a 44.2 kW electric motor, with a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery for a combined total output of 230 PS.
Electric when you want it. Petrol when you need it. A plug-in hybrid version of the TUCSON with a 1.6-litre T-GDI engine is available.
Safety
With best-in-class advanced driver-assistance systems and an active safety package with a range of innovative features, Tucson delivers even more peace of mind. Equipped with an enhanced seven-airbag system, it features a first row centre side airbag, a feature unique to this segment. It prevents front row passengers from colliding with one another, minimising the risk of serious injuries.
Hyundai TUCSON received the maximum five-star overall rating in the Euro NCAP safety test. This safety test is evaluated on the following four categories: ‘adult occupant’, ‘child occupant’, ‘vulnerable road user’ and ‘safety assist’ The five-star-rated Hyundai TUCSON performed particularly well across ‘adult occupant’ and ‘child occupant’. Hyundai equips its models with Smart Sense active safety and driving technologies.

Tucson features Lane Following Assist (LFA). When activated, it keeps the car centred in its lane at speeds between 0 and 180 km/h on motorways and city streets.
