A sharper and bolder new look.
The all-new KONA’s sleek exterior design started with an EV-first approach, combining a clean, aerodynamic nose and Seamless Horizon Lamps* with flowing lines. But despite its futuristic appearance, the all-new KONA never lets anyone forget that it’s an SUV.

Thanks to its EV-first design, the all-new KONA excels at aerodynamic performance without sacrificing style. Its sporty character is embodied by the rugged wheel arch cladding, building on the iconic design identity of the first KONA.
On the side, sharp diagonal parametric surfaces harmonise with the satin chrome moulding that slices through the belt line to sporty rear spoiler – creating a contour that wraps around the entire vehicle.
The distinctive twin headlamp design features full projection LED headlamps integrated in the wheel cladding, which combine with the bonnet’s Seamless Horizon Lamp* for an eye-catching lighting signature.

To improve aerodynamic performance, KONA Hybrid uses upper and lower active air flaps and KONA has an upper active air flap – This also lends an EV-like appearance to both while improving efficiency.
The dynamic styling of KONA Hybrid and KONA is accentuated with boldly sculpted wheel arch cladding in black, which incorporates both the headlamps and taillamps for a rugged look.
With its motorsport-inspired design features, the N Line trim exudes exhilarating performance flair.
To provide maximised living space, the all-new KONA has evolved, growing wider and longer, with generous leg and shoulder room in the 2nd row.
The elegantly curved panoramic display features two integrated screens for a high-tech look: a 12.3” infotainment touch screen and 12.3” digital cluster*.

When it comes to cargo and storage, the all-new KONA offers generous trunk space of 466 litres (VDA) – 30% more than the previous KONA. It’s also simple to adjust: you can fold down the rear seats flat in seconds without even having to take off the headrests. And with the seats folded flat, you have a roomy 1300 litres of space for weekend escapes – and big boxes of whatever you want to take with you.

Electrifying efficiency: the all-new KONA Hybrid.
The all-new KONA Hybrid uses electric power to help you go farther on a litre of petrol. All without you having to charge a battery or change your driving habits. Taking world-class fuel efficiency to the next level, it is equipped with both a petrol engine and a battery-powered electric motor: a full-parallel hybrid drive system. Regenerative braking charges the battery, so you don’t have to.
The 1.6 GDi direct injection petrol engine and battery-powered electric motor work together to deliver outstanding performance with a combined output of 141 HP/104 kw.
The 43 HP electric motor delivers high torque and high efficiency. It also delivers impressive acceleration when starting.
The all-new KONA Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds.
When starting or driving at low speed, the electricity stored in the battery powers the electric motor to accelerate the KONA Hybrid.
During heavy acceleration or driving uphill, the electric motor and petrol engine work in parallel to maximise acceleration and minimise fuel consumption.
At constant speeds, power is provided by either the petrol engine or the electric motor, whichever is the most energy-efficient in that situation.
The regenerative braking system charges the battery by using the electric motor to slow the car. When decelerating or driving downhill, the energy generated is stored in the battery.

Safety.
For added peace of mind, the all-new KONA has been equipped with the latest Hyundai Smart Sense – our cutting-edge Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. For the first time, the KONA Hybrid has been equipped with Highway Driving Assist – a combination of Lane Following Assist and Navigation Based Smart Cruise Control – it utilises sensors and map data to ensure safe operation as well as to automatically adjust speed.

The system uses an In Cabin Camera to analyse the driver’s face and, in the event of drowsiness or carelessness, alert them or intervene, if necessary.
Sensing the road with radar and a camera, the system automatically brakes when it detects sudden braking by the car ahead, or pedestrians and bikes on the road. When turning left at an intersection, it brakes if there is a risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle.
Using radar in the lower rear bumper, the system warns you of traffic in the blind spot. Should you set the turn indicator in such a situation, it will sound an acoustic alert and brake to prevent collision.
Uses the front camera to monitor the lines of the road. In case of an unintended lane departure, it will warn you and can apply counter steering torque to guide the car back to the lane.
When reversing out of areas with low visibility, the system not only warns you if vehicles approach from the side – it also applies the brakes automatically.
