A recent report by Sheffield Hallam University's Sport Industry Research Group has highlighted the incredible economic and social impact of Gaelic games across Ireland. With a social value estimated at €2.87 billion, Gaelic games deliver a return of up to €3.96 for every €1 invested—a testament to their significance in Irish culture and community life.

At Kearys Motor Group, we are immensely proud to play a key role in supporting Gaelic games.

A Historic Year for Cork Camogie
As title sponsors of Cork Camogie, Kearys were thrilled to witness an extraordinary year in 2024. Cork claimed both the Senior and Intermediate All-Ireland titles, cementing their status as one of the most successful camogie teams in Ireland. The Senior team’s victory marked back-to-back All-Irelands, a testament to their skill, determination, and dedication. Supporting such an accomplished team at the pinnacle of their sport is a privilege, and we are proud to be part of their journey as they continue to inspire the next generation of athletes.

The Kearys Motor Group sponsorship of Cork Camogie is one of the largest in women’s sport, reflecting our commitment to promoting equality and driving growth in sport at every level.

Supporting Cork GAA
As the official van partner of Cork GAA, we are delighted to provide six Renault Trafic kit vans to support Cork’s senior, minor, and under-20 hurling and football teams. These vans ensure the teams have the logistical support they need to compete at the highest level, both locally and nationally.

The Cork senior hurlers had a strong season in 2024, narrowly missing out on All-Ireland glory with a hard-fought defeat in extra-time to Clare in the final. As Cork GAA continues to grow stronger, we look forward to hopefully seeing the Liam MacCarthy Cup return to Leeside in 2025.

We are also proud to work with Cork hurling stars Tim O'Mahony and Seán O'Donoghue, who represent the Kearys Renault brand as ambassadors driving the Arkana. Their dedication and leadership on and off the pitch align perfectly with our values at Kearys, reinforcing our commitment to supporting local talent and fostering community pride.

Gaelic Games: Driving Economic and Social Impact
The Sheffield Hallam report reveals the wider impact of Gaelic games on communities, contributing €377 million in consumer spending annually and supporting 10,600 full-time equivalent jobs. Major events, such as the 2024 Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final, brought €3.2 million to Thurles and €4.5 million to County Tipperary, showcasing the economic benefits Gaelic games bring to the local and national economy.

Kearys: Supporting Excellence in Sport
At Kearys, we recognize the vital role Gaelic games play in Irish life and remain committed to supporting both Cork Camogie and Cork GAA as they continue to excel. Whether it’s celebrating back-to-back All-Ireland titles or supporting Cork’s rising stars, our partnerships reflect our passion for fostering talent and community spirit.

We look forward to another exciting year of Gaelic games in 2025 and are proud to stand behind these incredible teams and athletes. Stay tuned for more updates from Kearys Motor Group!
