A Fresh Design That Stands Out
The Ioniq 3 introduces Hyundai's new "Art of Steel" design language to the compact EV segment. Inspired by the raw tension and purity of steel production, the bodywork features clean, deliberate surfaces that create a bold and precise visual impact. The signature pixel lighting is instantly recognisable as part of the Ioniq family, with four central dots referencing the letter "H" in Morse code, a subtle but clever detail that rewards a closer look.
The Ioniq 3 arrives in a new "Aero Hatch" body style, striking a distinctive balance between aerodynamic efficiency and interior space. With a class-leading drag coefficient of just 0.263, it is as efficient through the air as it looks. Customers will be able to personalise their Ioniq 3 with eleven exterior colour options, multiple interior schemes, and wheel sizes from 16 to 19 inches. An Ioniq 3 N Line will also be available, bringing sporty styling touches and a more dynamic presence for those who want something a little bolder.
Impressive Range for Everyday Life
The Ioniq 3 will be offered with two battery options to suit different needs. The Standard Range model comes with a 42.2 kWh battery delivering a projected WLTP range of 344 km, while the Long Range version steps up to a 61 kWh battery with a projected range of up to 496 km, class-leading figures that make range anxiety a thing of the past for most drivers.
Both versions are front-wheel drive, powered by a 107.8 kW (147 PS) motor producing 250 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 170 km/h. The Standard Range reaches 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds, with the Long Range coming in at 9.6 seconds.
Charging Made Easy
DC fast charging will take the Ioniq 3 from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 29 minutes, ideal for those longer journeys where a quick top-up is all you need. At home or at work, AC charging of up to 22 kW is supported, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality means you can use the car to power devices and appliances when you need to.
A Cabin That Feels Bigger Than It Looks
One of the most impressive things about the Ioniq 3 is what Hyundai has achieved inside. Despite compact exterior dimensions of 4,155 mm in length, the flat-floor layout and long 2,680 mm wheelbase create a genuinely spacious cabin with real five-seat comfort, including room for three adults across the rear. Hyundai calls it a "Furnished Space" interior, where elements are arranged like furniture to create a warm, intuitive environment rather than a typical car cockpit.
Boot space comes in at a segment-leading 441 litres, made up of 322 litres of main boot space plus an additional 119 litres in the integrated Megabox beneath the boot floor, a cleverly concealed storage area that is a hallmark of the Ioniq range.
Depending on specification, the Ioniq 3 will offer Relaxation Seats, heated and ventilated seating, dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient LED lighting, a BOSE Premium Sound System, and interior materials inspired by natural landscapes and 1970s Italian furniture design, including recycled and bio-based fabrics.
Technology That Simplifies Your Drive
The Ioniq 3 is the first European Hyundai model to feature the new Pleos Connect infotainment system, built on Android Automotive OS. A 12.9-inch display (or 14.6-inch on higher trims) gives intuitive access to navigation, vehicle functions and connectivity. Hyundai Digital Key 2 will allow keyless access via smartphone or wearable device, and Plug and Charge makes public charging as simple as pulling up and plugging in.
On the safety side, Hyundai SmartSense comes as standard, including Highway Driving Assist 2, Remote Smart Parking Assist, Memory Reverse Assist, Surround View Monitor and Blind-Spot View Monitor, backed up by seven airbags and projection LED headlamps with Intelligent Front-Lighting System.
