Cork Camogie Crowned All Ireland Champions
A Proud Day for Cork Camogie and Kearys
What a weekend for Cork Camogie.
On Sunday, Cork secured the Glen Dimplex All Ireland Senior Camogie Championship title after a thrilling 2 14 to 0 19 victory over Galway at Croke Park.
In a final that had everything, Cork showed incredible character and determination to come from two points behind at half time and eventually lift the O Duffy Cup for the 31st time in the county’s history.

A Final to Remember
The All Ireland Final saw Cork and Galway meet in Croke Park for another chapter in what has become one of the biggest rivalries in camogie.
Galway started strongly and went into half time with a 0 9 to 0 7 lead. Cork knew they would need a big second half performance to bring the O Duffy Cup back to Leeside.
That is exactly what they delivered.
Cork came out after the break with renewed energy and quickly turned the game around. Emma Murphy and Laura Hayes helped bring Cork level before Sorcha McCartan put Cork back in front with another outstanding score.
The momentum continued to build and Saoirse McCarthy produced one of the defining moments of the final when she found the back of the Galway net.
Just seven minutes later, Orlaith Cahalane added Cork’s second goal with a superb finish to put Cork five points ahead.
With just minutes remaining, Cork looked to have done enough. However, Galway refused to give up and produced a dramatic late comeback, scoring five points in succession to leave just a single point between the teams at the final whistle.
Cork held on to secure a famous victory.
31 All Ireland Titles for Cork
The victory marks Cork’s 31st All Ireland Senior Camogie Championship title and their third title in four seasons.
It was also a remarkable achievement for a Cork team that has continued to evolve, with several players who featured in the 2025 final no longer part of this year’s starting team.
The strength, resilience and determination shown throughout the campaign ultimately brought the O Duffy Cup back to Cork.
For a county with such a proud camogie tradition, this latest title adds another special chapter to Cork’s history.
