The socially responsible Renault Megane Hatch is fi tted with engines which associate performance with economy and respect for the environment. All dCi engines currently available have CO2 emissions of less than 120 grammes per kilometre enabling the Renault Megane Hatch to bear the Eco2 signature. In addition to the diesel range, the 1.6 16V engine, operating on biofuel, is branded Eco2 as well. Everything has been done so that its impact on the environment is as low as possible from its design to the end of its life: The Renault Megane Hatch is built in an ISO 14001-certifi ed plant, 11% recycled plastics have been used in its manufacture while 95% of its weight can be salvaged at the end of operation.

Among this equipment is, depending on the version and optional extras ordered, the hands-free card, dual-zone air conditioning with climate control, high quality audio systems, and an integrated Carminat TomTom navigation system... Typical of the interior design of the Renault Megane Hatch, the rev counter and speedometer use analogue and digital displays respectively to make them easier and more immediate to read.
