The Race ABS on the S 1000 RR means you are free to choose the braking point you really want. Because sometimes the key to speed is how fast you can slow down. Weighing just 2.5kg, Race ABS is the lightest system of its kind. It offers a choice of four modes for the rider: Rain, Sport, Race and Slick.

The BMW S 1000 RR has undergone the world’s toughest testing programme – otherwise known as the WSBK World Superbike Championship Series. BMW Motorrad Motorsport signed two of the sport’s top riders, Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus, to take on its superbike rivals on the world’s most demanding circuits. By breaking new ground on the racetrack, BMW Motorrad has also brought a new level of performance to the road.
