Extended and elegant, with a perfectly designed Convertible roof line, the new BMW 6 Series Convertible appears both athletic and emotional. The distinct styling, the long wheelbase and the squat front complement each other with flowing shapes. The bonnet arches powerfully over the front axle and then swoops downwards towards the BMW kidney grille. The Convertible roof line encloses the passenger compartment and leads in one elegant curve to the broad, muscular rear. A pledge of controlled power waiting for you to redeem.

Design in a new light

The BMW 6 Series Convertible is the first BMW automobile to use Adaptive LED Headlights. They establish a new level of fatigue-free driving at night and hence ensure even more comfort and safety.

Dipped and high beam are implemented entirely using LED in both light rings. Yet the appearance of the Adaptive LED Headlights is interpreted in typical BMW style: enclosed by two 3-dimensional light rings on each side of the vehicle, the LED modules shine with their powerfully expressive styling and a night design without the appearance of discrete dots. All the lighting features available from BMW are integrated, including cornering lights, Adaptive Headlights and High Beam Assistant. Even functions such as accent lights, direction indicator lamps and cornering lights have been implemented with LED technology.

Because its temperature is very similar to that of daylight, LED light has a very bright beam, enabling traffic signs, for example, to be seen more clearly. Cornering lights turn on automatically when bends are taken slowly. All bends taken faster than approx. 60 km/h are the responsibility of Adaptive Headlights: they adapt smoothly to steering wheel movements and the speed, and light up the road ahead perfectly.

And it is not only this new previously unfamiliar level of visibility that distinguishes the LED headlights – they look good as well. Their new design with horizontally sectioned light rings and black accented trims underline the powerful style of the BMW 6 Series Convertible.

The interior of the BMW 6 Series Convertible takes up the dynamic design of the interior and continues it with elegant verve. All controls can be conveniently reached thanks to a slightly asymmetrical layout. The innovative 10.2-inch Control Display set in an elegant electroplated frame and supplied in conjunction with the navigation system has a free-standing design for the first time. And impresses with its stylish and ergonomic functionality.

The seats are generously dimensioned and perfectly designed. First-class materials distinguish the exclusive interior of the BMW 6 Series Convertible. The especially high-grade exclusive Nappa leather upholstery harmonises excellently with the contrasting stitching – also available in colour – that runs along the instrument panel, centre console and upper door and side panels. Special woods or cool aluminium are available on request to round off the luxurious interior.

The exclusive Bang & Olufsen high-end Surround Sound system satisfies the most sophisticated musical aspirations. Thanks to its innovative technology, it transforms the Convertible into a concert hall and adds visual accents thanks to the illuminated fully aluminium speaker trims.

Combined with the optional Professional Navigation system or the TV function, the impressive 10.2-inch screen clearly shows all the iDrive information, from road map to music selection.
