Introducing the all new Dacia Duster

new Dacia Duster

Building on the success of the first generation, the all new Dacia Duster SUV has been improved and refined in almost every area, including brand new exterior styling with not one single body panel shared with the previous car. And not only is the All-New Dacia Duster as versatile as ever, it’s Ireland’s most affordable SUV available.

The all new Dacia Duster has a bolder personality, both inside and out. The exterior features more pronounced lines to match its capabilities while the interior has been totally redesigned to be more comfortable and user-friendly.

Interior Upgrades

Dacia’s designers worked from a clean slate to create a completely new interior for the All-New Duster, with a more modern, comfortable and passenger-friendly cabin. Careful attention has been paid to the materials, fit and finish. The seats have been completely redesigned for enhanced lateral support when cornering and incorporate denser foam for improved durability and comfort.

Advancements and Improvements

Cabin noise has been halved by increasing the sound-absorbing surfaces in the cabin and engine compartment, reducing noise thanks to improved sealants and plugs and using thicker glass for the front windows. The all new Duster also offers a range of equipment that includes a multi-view camera, Blind Spot Warning, curtain airbags, climate control, keyless entry and automatic headlight activation.

Rugged Diesel Power

The 1.5-litre diesel engine develops 115 horsepower with 260Nm of torque at 1,750rpm and offers combined fuel consumption of 64.2mpg and CO2 emissions of 115g/km. As standard, All-New Duster comes with a six-speed manual transmission. It has a shorter first gear ratio which is better suited to off-road demands such as hill starts, steep descents or under acceleration while towing.

Off-Road Capabilities

The All-New Duster carries over the same off-roading capabilities that helped to make the previous model such a success. While the new styling makes it appear larger, it’s actually very close in size to the previous Duster: 4.3 metres long and 1.8 metres wide. The All-New Duster offers high ground clearance of 210 mm with approach and departure angles of 30 and 33 degrees.

Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist make driving easier on sloping terrain while for off-road enthusiasts, the 4X4 monitor incorporates a compass and communicates to the driver the vehicle’s angle in real time. The All-New Duster features a multi-view camera which incorporates front, rear and two side cameras which allows the driver to view the area around the vehicle to better manoeuvre off road. The system is also useful to help with parking and is activated automatically when reverse gear is selected

Electronic Dual-clutch (EDC) Automatic Transmission

Available on Signature, Prestige, and SE Summit 4x2 Duster models, the automatic EDC gearbox provides smoother shifting and also features Hill Start Assist. When moving away on an incline, the EDC control unit holds the brakes to allow the driver to apply the throttle before the vehicle rolls back.

MediaNav

With MediaNav in the All-New Duster, you can connect your telephone to the Navigation system via Bluetooth and safely make hands-free calls. MediaNav also allows you to listen to the radio or enjoy your favourite music via Bluetooth or the jack and USB ports. Reliable and easy to use, the MediaNav navigation system provides high-quality guidance.
